Fostering Opportunities in Rural Southern Areas

Family Planning Initiative Project
PAST PROJECT: From 2010-2014, Pathfinder worked to support the Government of Mozambique to increase use of family planning and reproductive health services in Maputo, Gaza, Inhambane, and Cabo Delgado provinces.
Healthy Families Project
PAST PROJECT: The project goal is to focus on young women of reproductive age and to increase contraceptive prevalence in Angola. National level objectives are addressed by assisting the government, MOH, and Luanda Provincial Health Directorate.
Ethiopia Community Prevention of Mother-to-Child Transmission Project
PAST PROJECT: Pathfinder increased access to and demand for prevention of mother-to-child transmission services through the creation of a community-based, integrated model in cooperation with the Ministry of Health.

Ending Female Genital Cutting in Guinea
PAST PROJECT: This USAID-funded project was a Pathfinder-led initiative to reduce and eliminate the practice of female genital cutting in Guinea.
Flexible Family Planning, Reproductive Health, and Gender-Based Violence Services for Transition Situations Project
PAST PROJECT: From 2008-2014, this project developed family planning and gender-based violence services for emergency and transitional situations in Burundi and the Democratic Republic of Congo.
Health Service Delivery and Community Outreach in Gaza Province, Mozambique
PAST PROJECT: The project was a response to strengthen the capacities of the public sector health system, NGOs, CBOs, and other civil society partners, while simultaneously working to increase utilization of and access to maternal and child survival and reproductive health.
Burundi Maternal Child Health Project
PAST PROJECT: From 2007-2014, Pathfinder worked with the government of Burundi to improve maternal and child health in two provinces: Muyinga and Kayanza.
APHIAplus Northern Arid Lands
PAST PROJECT: This project improved health service delivery by strengthening access, quality, and integration of facility-level services, supporting community capacity building and building multi-sectoral collaboration.
APHIA II Nairobi and Central
PAST PROJECT: With support from the Government of Kenya, this project used an integrated model of AIDS, population, and health to expand access to quality, sustainable HIV and AIDS and TB prevention, treatment, and support and family planning services.
Takamol: Integrated Maternal Child Health, Family Planning and Reproductive Health Project
PAST PROJECT: Named after the Arabic word for "integration," Takamol was a five-year project that promoted an integrated model for strengthening maternal and child health, family planning, and reproductive health services.
Community-Based HIV and AIDS Prevention, Care, and Support
PAST PROJECT: This community-based HIV and AIDS prevention, care, and support program secured the health and quality of life of people living with HIV and AIDS, orphans/vulnerable children, and their families/caregivers by strengthening previous interventions.
Increased Use of Reproductive, Maternal and Child Health Service in Yemen
PAST PROJECT: Implemented through the Pathfinder-managed Extending Service Delivery (ESD) Project, BHS worked closely with the Yemen government to increase access to quality health care services and to promote awareness of reproductive health among communities.
NGO Service Delivery Program in Bangladesh
PAST PROJECT: As the lead organization on the NGO Service Delivery Project (NSDP), implemented from 2002-2007, Pathfinder partnered with more than 30 local NGOs to provide free maternal health, infant care, and primary care services to the poorest of the poor.
