Bolstering Multisectorial Action to Address Gender-based Violence and Sexual and Reproductive Health
This project, funded by the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, strengthens and scales up a multisectoral approach to primary and secondary prevention of gender-based violence and unsafe abortion in Gaza, Inhambane, Cabo Delgado, and Maputo provinces.
Pathfinder works in partnership with the several provincial and district agencies, the Coalition for Sexual and Reproductive Health, DKT International, and local NGOs to provide gender-based violence survivors with needed health, legal, police, and psychosocial support services and to foster collective action to address gender inequality and other structural drivers of GBV.
Since 2014, more than 9,000 girls or women have received one or more services (including CAC/PAC) from project-supported facilities. The project supports six one stop centers, where survivors of gender-based violence can receive all needed support in one place. Thirty-one health facilities now offer integrated gender-based violence services with referral linkages for legal and psychosocial services.
