What's your favorite part about working at Pathfinder?
My colleagues. This is one of the most determined, hard-working, fiery, and caring group of professionals I've ever worked with.

What reading would you recommend to those interested in international reproductive health?
"What is Strategy?" by Michael Porter, "Where Human Rights Begin" by Ellen Chesler and Wendy Chavkin; and "Reproductive Rights and Wrongs: the global politics of population control" by Betsy Harmann.

What's one thing people often ask you when you say you work at Pathfinder?
I am most typically asked what I do at Pathfinder. I explain that Pathfinder is committed to doing our part to advance the global health industry's knowledge of technical practice, which means analyzing our implementation and distilling that programmatic experience into the lessons, innovations, emerging practices, and strategies that could be relevant to others working to improve health outcomes in resource-limited settings like the ones in which we work.

As a member of the Technical Services Unit, I work with my colleagues and our country offices to do that analysis collaboratively, and make sure that the learning that comes from it is made ready for internal use and quality improvement, as well for use by the larger external global health community through our technical publications. Ultimately, we want to make sure that our voice joins others in the industry who are trying to break down silos to advance meaningful critical thinking and analysis about what is working, and to understand how we can all get better at what we do. At the end of the day, this is a big part of how we'll make our push to improved health outcomes for the communities we serve.
