Increasing Access to HIV Prevention, Care, and Treatment Services for Key Populations in Mozambique
This five-year, CDC-funded project works to strengthen the national response to HIV among key populations and in prisons in order to contribute to the reduction of HIV incidence by increasing access to clinical and community services that protect human rights.
The "reach–test–treat and retain–sustain–empower" technical strategy ensures key population-friendly services promoting social equality, human rights, and protective policies to achieve maximum impact. The project develops models for engaging with and strengthening the capacities of government, civil society, and partners in policy development and implementation, ensuring they have the knowledge and skills that will empower them to scale and sustain comprehensive, integrated, and friendly services beyond the life of the project.
